Many people will share with me that they went to a hypnosis show- usually in Las Vegas or on a cruise ship and that the hypnotist sent them back to their seat.
When this happens to someone it usually makes them think that they are not a good subject (we no longer use the word subject) What has happened is that we will process the suggestions given by the hypnotist and we can decide against them- so for example if the hypnotist says "cluck like a chicken" and we think that's stupid and I don't want to- then we will just sit there while the other people who are okay with being silly and clucking like a chicken will do it.
You are always in control when you are in hypnosis - notice I didn't say "under hypnosis" that along with the word hypnotic subject are out-dated. We don't go under anything- we go "into hypnosis" and we do this with the guidance of a hypnotist or a hypnosis download or if we decide to guide ourselves into self-hypnosis.
